El reportaje radiofónico para interpretar la realidad: el barrio pacense del Gurugú

Abstract

El Gurugú es el nombre de uno de los barrios más pobres de la ciudad de Badajoz. Presenta problemas de todo orden: a los de carácter social, educativo o económico, se suman los de seguridad ciudadana, que están ocasionando un importante deterioro de la convivencia y de las condiciones de vida de sus habitantes. Este Trabajo Fin de Grado que se presenta, de naturaleza profesional y bajo el formato periodístico del reportaje, ahonda en la situación que atraviesa esta zona. Se profundiza, a través de entrevistas en profundidad, en las causas y consecuencias que han propiciado que muchos de sus habitantes vivan en riesgo de exclusión social. Además, y en aras a aplicar un periodismo constructivo, se apuntan soluciones para remover los obstáculos que impiden a los pacenses de El Gurugú alcanzar las condiciones de vida de las que disfrutan otras zonas de la ciudad. El trabajo realizado ha puesto de manifiesto cómo el reportaje, que pertenece al estilo interpretativo, es un género idóneo para poner el foco en este tipo de temáticas sociales, porque además de la acción incorpora otros elementos como testimonios, declaraciones o ilustraciones que ayudan a explicar y comprender mejor el acontecer de la realidad.

El Gurugú is the name of one of the poorest neighbourhoods in the city of Badajoz. It presents problems of all kinds: in addition to those of a social, educational or economic nature, there are also those of public safety, which are causing a significant deterioration in the coexistence and living conditions of its inhabitants. This Final Degree Project, of a professional nature and in the journalistic format of reportage, delves into the situation that this area is going through. Through in-depth interviews, it delves into the causes and consequences that have led many of its inhabitants to live at risk of social exclusion. In addition, and with a view to applying constructive journalism, solutions are suggested to remove the obstacles that prevent the inhabitants of El Gurugú from achieving the living conditions enjoyed by other areas of the city. The work carried out has shown how the report, which belongs to the interpretative style, is an ideal genre to focus on this type of social issues, because in addition to the action, it incorporates other elements such as testimonies, statements or illustrations that help to explain and better understand the events of reality
