| Abstract: | Este capítulo se centra en la Italia de mediados del siglo XVIII y, en concreto, en la defensa de la Gramática de Álvares como método de enseñanza de la lengua latina realizada por el jesuita hispano-italiano Girolamo Lagomarsini frente a las críticas y métodos de los pensadores racionalistas ilustrados de la Europa más occidental. This chapter focuses on mid-18th century Italy and, specifically, on the defense of Alvares' Grammar as a method of teaching the Latin language by the Spanish-Italian Jesuit Girolamo Lagomarsini against the criticisms and methods of the enlightened rationalist thinkers of western Europe. |
