La cerámica desaparecida de Carlos V e Isabel de Portugal. Un estudio de sus piezas a través de los inventarios reales

Abstract

Este estudio se enfoca en la investigación de la loza y porcelana que el emperador Carlos V y la emperatriz Isabel de Portugal reunieron en sus respectivas colecciones privadas y que no se ha conservado en el tiempo. Nuestro objetivo principal será mostrar el valor del patrimonio cerámico de los emperadores y contribuir al estudio de la cerámica de la corte española del siglo XVI. Para lograrlo, llevaremos a cabo un análisis exhaustivo de los inventarios reales y, a través de los resultados obtenidos, revelaremos la apreciación y el interés que Carlos V e Isabel de Portugal tenían por nuestro objeto de estudio.

This study focuses on the investigation of the earthenware and porcelain that Emperor Charles V and Empress Isabella of Portugal gathered in their respective private collections and that has not been preserved over time. Our main objective will be to show the value of the emperors' ceramic heritage and to contribute to the study of 16th century Spanish court ceramics. To achieve this, we will carry out an exhaustive analysis of the royal inventories and, through the results obtained, we will reveal the appreciation and interest that Charles V and Isabella of Portugal had for our object of study.
