Language proficiency in EMI programs: analysis of learners' perceptions of their own and their teachers’ linguistic abilities

Abstract

En primer lugar, repasaremos parte de la bibliografía pertinente sobre las creencias de los alumnos acerca de sus competencias lingüísticas y las de sus profesores. A continuación, repasaremos las preguntas de investigación planteadas y la metodología empleada para abordarlas. Por último, presentaremos los resultados y los debatiremos, para terminar con una conclusión y sugerencias para futuras investigaciones.

Firstly, we will review some of the relevant literature on students’ beliefs about their linguistic skills and those of their teachers. Then we will review the research questions at hand and the methodology undertaken to address them. Finally, we will present results and discuss these, finishing with a conclusion and suggestions for future research.
