Las exposiciones en el norte de la provincia de Cáceres durante la Época Contemporánea (1796-1925)

Abstract

Las instituciones hospitalarias se instituyeron en elementos clave de la administración pública en el sistema socio-benéfico. Ellas se encargaron de atender al enfermo, acoger a los vagabundos, recibir a los expósitos y prestar ayuda a las gentes desarraigadas. A finales de la Época Moderna Extremadura presentaba un considerable número de centros asistenciales y benéficos. Merece destacar la creación y mantenimiento de los hospicios, instituciones que recogían y educaban a los menores hasta el momento de su inserción en la sociedad.

The hospitals were established in key elements of public administration in the partner system-beneficial. They took care of the sick person, welcome to the vagrants, receive to foundlings and assist the uprooted people. At the end of the Modern period Extremadura presented a considerable number of health centers and beneficial. It is worth drawing attention to the creation and maintenance of the hospices, institutions who collected and educated children up to the time of their inclusion in society.
