Utilización didáctica de la prensa escrita en el área de ciencias. Análisis de una experiencia

Abstract

Numerosas publicaciones vienen destacando la importancia de la uti­lización de la prensa en la escuela y perfilando su uso didáctico a través de experiencias llevadas a cabo, fundamentalmente, en las áreas de Lenguaje y Ciencias Sociales. Las Ciencias, por su propia naturaleza, podrían ser, sin embargo, las grandes beneficiadas del uso de la prensa en el aula. Con esta perspectiva nació el Taller de Prensa Científica. Dicho taller viene funcionando desde el curso 90/91 como una de las cuatro modalidades de E.A.T.P. ofertadas por el Centro. En la última parte del artículo se recogen las actividades desarrolla­das por el taller durante el curso 91/92. La realización de las mismas contó con la ayuda de la Consejería de Educación y Cultura de la Junta.

Numerous publications have been outlining the importance of the use of the press in the school and also outlining its didactic use through experiences mainly carried out in the areas of language and social sciences. Howerer, sciences, by their very natura, could be the most benefitted by the use of the press in the classroom With this perspectiva the workshop of scientific press carne about in the secondary school (1.B.) "Puente Ajuda" in Olivenza. The aforementio­ ned workshop has been working since the course of 90-91 as one of the four types of "E.A.T.P." Offered by the centre. The last part of the article includes the activities carried out by the workshop during the course of 91-92. These activities have been carried out with the help of the "Consejería de Educación y Cultura" of the "Junta de Extremadura".
