Organización del drenaje sobre un zócalo tectonizado (Penillanura Cacereña)

Abstract

La morfogénesis cuaternaria se concreta en un primer momento en la creación o remate de las formaciones del glacis y quizá de las fuertes pendientes que marcan el ascenso de los bloques de Garciaz y Montánchez. Seguidamente se organiza la red fluvial con nivel de base a mayor altura que el actual (al menos en el Tajo) según lo atestigua su reciente encajamiento, y comienza la evacuación de los materiales de raña así como la incisión de los glacis de vertiente, todavía intactos en amplios espacios.
