Makoto Shinkai: La distancia

Abstract

Este trabajo aborda la vida y la obra de Makoto Shinkai. Durante la primera parte del trabajo, hablaremos sobre el contexto cinematográfico en el que el director japonés ha crecido y madurado como cineasta. También haremos un recorrido por su carrera, desde que se sintió atraído por la animación, hasta la actualidad. Otro tema importante será de que fuentes ha bebido para ser lo que es, es decir, todas las influencias que ha tenido, tanto filmográficas, como literarias y hablaremos sobre el estilo que frecuenta en toda su obra. Y por supuesto mencionaremos todos los premios y reconocimientos obtenidos en estos años. Después de realizar el mencionado repaso de Makoto, haremos un análisis cinematográfico de todos sus largometrajes. Empezaremos por su primera película, El Lugar que nos Prometimos (2004), 5cm Por Segundo (2007), Viaje a Agartha (2011), El Jardín de las Palabras (2013), y Your Name (2016). De todas trataremos temas técnicos, artísticos, y de valoración personal.

This project will be about Makoto Shinkai’s life and work. In the first part of the Project, we will talk about the cinematic context where Makoto has grown up as a cinema director. We also will make a travel around his career, since he first felt attracted for anime, until nowadays. Another important point in the Project will be developing all his influences both cinematographic and literary. We will have a paragraph where we will see his personal style, repeated in the most of his films. And of course we will show all his awards in festivals and contests. After doing that review of Makoto’s life, we will analyze all his films. We will start with The Place Promised in Our Early Days Beyond the Clouds, then 5 centimeters per second, followed up by Children who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below, then The Garden of Words, and finally Your Name. In every analysis we will artistic and technical aspects and a personal opinión about the film.
