Carmen González Alvalat. Una callada y tenaz voluntad de superación

Abstract

No resulta fácil desde el sentimiento y el pesar por su pérdida abordar la figura de Carmen González Alvalat, que fue hasta su muerte –contra la que luchó denodadamente en otro rasgo evidente de su fuerza de voluntad–, una excelente compañera del Departamento de Historia. Sin menoscabo de destacar algunos de sus rasgos personales, que en todo caso servirán para reforzar la excelente impresión que todos teníamos de ella en el Departamento, dedicaremos estas líneas, preferentemente, a destacar los aspectos profesionales de su actividad, una actividad que ejercitó con denuedo y, casi siempre, en silencio, lo cual le concede aún más mérito.

It is not easy from the feeling and the sorrow for her loss to approach the figure of Carmen González Alvalat, who was until her death -against whom she fought valiantly in another evident trait of her willpower-, an excellent colleague of the History Department. Without neglecting to highlight some of his personal traits, which in any case will serve to reinforce the excellent impression that we all had of her in the Department, we will dedicate these lines, preferably, to highlighting the professional aspects of her activity, an activity that she exercised with boldness and, almost always, in silence, which gives it even more merit.
