Abstract

Es bien conocido el amplio repertorio de castillos, torres y fortificaciones que se extienden a lo largo y ancho de Extremadura , en su mayoría erigidos durante la Edad Media, desde el siglo IX al XV. Desde el siglo XVI se operan en ellas importantes transformaciones. El artículo trata los de Alcántara y Valencia, con sus planos.
