| Resumen: | El artículo trata de poner en valor la riqueza de los recursos hidroterapéuticos asociados a los manantiales de aguas mineralizadas existentes en Extremadura, los cuales, de ser puestos adecuadamente en valor, pueden servir para posicionar a la región como un destino destacado del turismo estético y terapéutico. Además de un breve análisis histórico sobre el termalismo y la hidroterapia, el artículo analiza las técnicas que hay al respecto, los tipos de aguas mineralizadas que existen y los aspectos básicos de los 8 balnearios principales existentes en Extremadura. The article tries to put in value the richness of the hydrotherapy resources associated with the springs of mineralized waters existing in Extremadura, which, if properly valued, can serve to position the region as an outstanding destination of esthetic and therapeutic tourism. In addition to a brief historical analysis on hydrotherapy and spas, the article analyzes the techniques that exist in this regard, the types of mineralized waters that exist and the basic aspects of the 8 main spas in Extremadura. |
