Santa María de Tudía en la producción literaria de los reyes Alfonso X y Alfonso XI (Siglos XIII y XIV)

Abstract

En la producción literaria de los monarcas que figuran en el título de este trabajo se hace referencia a una iglesia en la que, ya desde mediados del siglo XIII, se veneraba la imagen de Santa María de Tudía y pertenecía por entonces a la Orden de Santiago. Dándose tales circunstancias, trataremos de analizar aquí los motivos que pudieron tener ambos reyes para mencionar en sus obras a este santuario mariano, situado en las tierras sureñas de la actual Extremadura.

In the literary production of the monarchs included in the title of this work reference is made to a church in which, since the middle of the thirteenth century, the image of Santa Maria de Tudía was venerated and belonged then to the Order of Santiago. Given these circumstances, we will try to analyze here the reasons that both kings could have to mention in their works to this Marian sanctuary, located in the southern lands of the current Extremadura.
