El ciclo vital de la mujer en los textos de música tradicional de Don benito y su comarca

Abstract

En la comarca de Vegas Altas del Guadiana se conserva aún hoy un inmenso legado de música tradicional, en el que las mujeres han desempeñado un papel trascendental. Como informantes y conocedoras de este patrimonio intangible han sido claves para gran cantidad de trabajos de recopilación. Como partes de un ciclo vital musical, han cantado en diferentes momentos de su vida textos que son un claro reflejo de los roles y estereotipos asociados a su género y que le vienen marcados desde la sociedad y cultura a la que pertenecen. Las mujeres han llenado con sus cantos diversos espacios, dejando sus sonidos a modo de huellas imborrables por incalculables senderos. Este artículo pretende sacar de la invisibilidad estas acciones ligadas a las mujeres, en este territorio tan concreto, rescatando además parte de este gran patrimonio musical, a partir de un repaso por los textos de música tradicional recogidos mediante trabajo de campo en varias localidades de la comarca.

In the region of Vegas Altas del Guadiana an immense legacy of traditional music, in which women have played a major role is still preserved today. As informants and knowledgeable of this intangible heritage have been key to many papers collection. As parts of a musical life cycle, they have sung at different times of his life texts that are a clear reflection of the roles and stereotypes associated with their gender and that are marked from the society and culture to which they belong. Women have filled their songs with different spaces, leaving their indelible sounds like a fingerprint for untold trails. This article seeks to draw from these actions linked invisibility of women, in this very specific territory also bailing part of this great musical heritage, from a review of the text of traditional music collected through fieldwork in various locations in the region.
