| Abstract: | La devoción a San José comienza de manera intensa a partir del final de la baja Edad Media. Se analizan en el presente artículo diferentes formas iconográficas de éste, sobre todo la de San José y el niño Jesús itinerante y San José con el niño en sus brazos. Estudiamos una serie de esculturas de carácter devocional de Pedro Roldan, su hija Luisa Ignacia, la "Roldana", y su nieto Pedro Duque Cornejo. Devotion to San José begins intensely after the end of the late Middle Ages. Different iconographic forms of this one are analyzed in the present article, especially that of Saint Joseph and the traveling Jesus child and Saint Joseph with the child in his arms. We studied a series of devotional sculptures by Pedro Roldan, his daughter Luisa Ignacia, la "Roldana", and his grandson Pedro Duque Cornejo. |
