Profesoras. Diálogos sobre educación

Abstract

Este libro recoge una colección de diálogos entre profesoras sobre temas de Educación. Cada relato está basado en hechos reales vividos en primera persona por el autor, docente con treintaitrés años de experiencia en diferentes contextos educativos, que plantea su forma de entender la Educación a partir de estos diálogos. Temas como la primera clase, el protagonismo del alumnado, la motivación, la modificación de conducta en ambientes educativos, la gestión de las emociones, la disciplina, la autoestima, las competencias, las capacidades de cada estudiante, las asignaturas, la importancia de la formación inicial del profesorado, la evaluación, etc., son objeto de análisis desde dos perspectivas enfrentadas. Por un lado está la de Lucía, profesora crítica con el sistema, que se plantea un cambio hacia un modelo más humano y más adaptado a la realidad actual; y por otro, la de doña Elena, una profesora más partidaria de mantener un sistema que, aunque manifiestamente obsoleto y desfasado, se justifica como el único y necesario. Este libro no deja de ser una crítica al sistema educativo español actual, acompañada de propuestas hacia el cambio, un cambio cada vez más urgente para un sistema donde las miserias hacen sombra a las fortalezas.

This book is a collection of dialogues between teachers on educational issues. Each story is based on real events experienced in first person by the author, a teacher with thirty-three years of experience in different educational contexts, who presents his way of understanding education through these dialogues. Topics such as the first class, the leading role of students, motivation, behaviour modification in educational environments, the management of emotions, discipline, self-esteem, competencies, the abilities of each student, subjects, the importance of initial teacher training, evaluation, etc., are analysed from two opposing perspectives. On the one hand, there is that of Lucía, a teacher who is critical of the system, who proposes a change towards a more humane model that is more adapted to the current reality; and on the other, that of Doña Elena, a teacher who is more in favour of maintaining a system which, although clearly obsolete and outdated, is justified as the only one that is necessary. This book is a critique of the current Spanish education system, accompanied by proposals for change, a change that is increasingly urgent for a system where the miseries overshadow the strengths.
