El Colegio Menor de Huérfanos de Salamanca en la matrícula universitaria. Siglos XVI-XVIII

Abstract

Los libros de matrícula de la Universidad de Salamanca representan una increíble fuente documental. El análisis de la matrícula del Colegio de Huérfanos sirve, al menos, para dos cosas: Conocer el número de colegiales que tuvo el Colegio en la Universidad en cada curso; averiguar –y esto es más importante- los estudios que realizaron los colegiales a lo largo de estos siglos. Junto a estos dos datos, nos encontramos con un tercero -más vago y difuminado, puesto que no siempre aparece-, la procedencia geográfica de los colegiales. El trabajo que sigue pretende realizar una investigación sobre la presencia de este Colegio en el panorama universitario salmantino, analizando exhaustivamente los libros de matrícula durante los siglos XVI-XVIII.

The books of registry of the University of Salamanca represent an incredible source material. Analysis of the Orphan School registration serves at least two purposes: to know the number of schoolchildren who had the College at the University for each course, find out, and this is more important, the studies carried out to schoolchildren throughout these centuries. Beside these two facts, we find a third, more vague and unfocused, since it always appears-the geographical origin of the college. The work is intended to conduct an investigation into the presence of this college in the university landscape Salamanca, thoroughly analyzing the books of registration during the XVI-XVIII.
