Aportes genealógicos de una familia dombenitense, los Donoso-Cortés

Abstract

Este artículo versa sobre la familia Donoso-Cortés, que se establece en Don Benito a finales del siglo XVII o principios del XVIII, procedente de la villa de Campanario. A lo largo de la investigación se procederá al análisis de su árbol genealógico. Debido a la extensa estirpe familiar el artículo se centrará en los miembros de la misma, desde el primer miembro de esta familia en instalarse en la Ciudad de Don Benito, hasta el primer Marqués de Valdegamas. Formando parte este artículo de la línea de investigación comenzada en el libro “Los Donoso-Cortés (Estudio Histórico- Genealógico)” (Cortés, en Prensa). Para ello me he servido de una serie de archivos novedosos y en algunos casos inéditos para la investigación como son el Archivo Parroquial de Santiago Apóstol de Don Benito o el Archivo Personal de la familia Donoso-Cortés, aparte de ser consultados también el Registro civil de Don Benito y el Archivo Notarial de la misma Ciudad. Posteriormente podremos ver las diferentes ramas familiares, existentes hasta la actualidad, aunque me centraré en las dos más importantes, desde mi punto de vista: La rama del Marquesado de Valdegamas y la rama heredera de los bienes de la familia, afincada en Don Benito.

This article tell about the Donoso-Cortés family, that is set to Don Benito the end of the seventeenth century or principles the eighteenth century, in the village of Campanario. Throughout the investigation will proceed to the analysis of his family tree. Due to extensive family lineage the article will focus on members of the same, since the first member of this family about settling in the city of Don Benito, to the first Marquis of Valdegamas. Formed part this article the research line that started in book “Los Donoso- Cortés (Estudio Histórico-Genealógico)” (Cortés, en Prensa). For it I have used a series of archives innovative and in some cases unpublished for research such as the Santiago Apostle Parochial Archive of Don Benito or the Personal Archive of family Donoso-Cortés, apart from being consulted also the Civil Registry of Don Benito and Notarial Archives in the same city. Later we see the different familiar branches, existing to the present, though I will focus on the two most important, from my point of view: The branch of the marquisate of Valdegamas and the heiress branch of family assets, settled in Don Benito.
