Evaluación agraria de la provincia de Cáceres según diferentes conceptos extraídos de los censos agrarios

Abstract

Al publicarse el volumen correspondiente a los “Resultados provinciales” del tercer Censo Agrario de España, referido a la Provincia de Cáceres, creímos oportuno tratar de dar una respuesta a numerosas interrogantes que se nos habían planteado en otros trabajos. Así el decenio transcurrido desde la publicación del segundo censo, el medio agrario apuntados ya en el año 1972; también podrían confirmarse o, por el contrario, corregirse tendencias enmarcadas fuertemente en el período 1962-1972; y, por último, lo que hasta ahora eran meras hipótesis lanzadas a la espera del tercer censo agrario, se harían realidad en sentido positivo o negativo, pudiendo aventurarse nuevas hipótesis ante la publicación de los datos de 1982. El contraste de los tres censos agrarios, su constante mejora en la presentación y exhaustividad de los resultados; y el mayor rigor y precisión en una estadística, cada vez más profunda, eran alicientes, junto a los ya expuestos, para quien desde el campo de la Geografía Agraria trata de conocer y dar a conocer las fuentes y documentación más utilizadas por los geógrafos españoles en ese ámbito científico

When the volume corresponding to the "Provincial Results" of the third Agrarian Census of Spain, referring to the Province of Cáceres, was published, we thought it appropriate to try to answer numerous questions that had been posed to us in other works. Thus, the decade that has elapsed since the publication of the second census, the agrarian environment pointed out as early as 1972; Trends strongly framed in the period 1962-1972 could also be confirmed or, on the contrary, corrected; and, finally, what until now were mere hypotheses launched while awaiting the third agrarian census, would come true in a positive or negative sense, and new hypotheses could be ventured before the publication of the 1982 data. The contrast of the three agrarian censuses, their constant improvement in the presentation and exhaustiveness of the results; and the greater rigor and precision in a statistic, increasingly in depth, were incentives, together with those already exposed, for those who from the field of Agrarian Geography try to know and make known the sources and documentation most used by Spanish geographers in that scientific field
