Abstract

La condición y la función del jurista ha cambiado en nuestro mundo civilizado; esta circunstancia ha sido puesta de manifiesto por Lee Loevinger en un artículo que data del año 1939 titulado Jurimetrics. The next step Jorward, donde se aventura una nueva relación entre el jurista y una máquina de reciente invención: la computadora electrónica o computer, la cual había aparecido en el horizonte de la nueva sociedad tecnológica, convirtiéndose, según Loevinger, en un apoyo indispensable para el jurista y el protagonista de una nueva ciencia que él denominaba Jurimetrics, hoy ya designada comúnmente como «informática jurídica».
