El "problema de la Beturia" en el marco del poblamiento protoihistórico del Guadiana Medio

Abstract

Los testimonios materiales de la protohistoria de la Baja Extremadura serán los castros prerromanos y los oppida mencionados en los textos (Plinio, III, 13-14). Sobre los primeros, los estudios de los años ’80 permiten valorar el mundo prerromano del Guadiana Medio. Sin embargo, «el problema de la Beturia» hay que analizarlo todavía por los textos epigrafía y por la localización de los oppida.

The material testimonies of the protohistory of Lower Extremadura are the pre-Roman forts and the oppida mentioned in the texts (Pliny, III, 13-14). Studies of the former in the 1980s have made it possible to assess the pre-Roman world of the Middle Guadiana. However, "the problem of Beturia" still needs to be analysed through the epigraphic texts and the location of the oppida.
