Las estelas de guerreros del S.W.

Abstract

Se analizan dos documentos arqueológicos de las últimas etapas de la Prehistoria peninsular, que se denominan "estelas de guerreros". Se trata de dos lajas de piedra caliza, pizarrosa, que presentan grabados por una de sus caras los objetos que constituían los atributos del guerrero. Estos monumentos se datan entre fines del S. IX y el VI antes de Cristo. Se estima que se hacían por influencia de gentes de otras culturales de fuera de la Península Ibérica.

Two archaeological documents from the last stages of peninsular prehistory, known as "warrior stelae", are analysed. These are two slabs of limestone, slate, which have engraved on one side with objects that constitute the attributes of the warrior. These monuments are dated to between the late 9th and 6th centuries BC. It is thought that they were made under the influence of people from other cultures outside the Iberian Peninsula.
