Reflexiones sobre el hermetísmo de Cesare Pavese y la literatura italiana del novecientos

Abstract

El artículo se propone un recorrido por la problemática en torno al tan discutido acercamiento de Cesare Pavese a la corriente hermética en poesía, imperante en Italia en la primera mitad del siglo xx, en la redacción de sus tres cancioneros, es decir, Lavorare stanca (1936), La terra e la morte (1945) y Velrrá la morte e avrá i tuoi occhi (1950), poniéndose de manifiesto (sobre todo después de los estudios de A. M. Andreoli, que allí se revisan con amplitud) la gran deuda contraída por el autor piamontés en su poética con respecto a la poesía de Giuseppe Ungaretti y Eugenio Montale, tanto a nivel intertextual como interdiscursivo.

This paper propases an examination of the heated debate about Cesare Pavese's adaptation of Italian poetry's hermetic trends during the first half of the 20th century. This study is conducted by focusing on his three compilations: Lavorare stanca (1936), La terra e la morte (1945) and Verrá la morte e avrá i tuoi occhi (1950). Our research evinces (above all, with the support enabled by A.M. Andreoli's review on hermetic influence) the great debt of Pavese to Giuseppe Ungaretti's and Eugenio Montale's poetic works, both at the inter-textual and inter-discoursal planes.
