Consideraciones sincrónicas sobre la formación del plural en el adjetivo

Abstract

En el artículo se trata de explicar las consideraciones sincrónicas entre el plural y el adjetivo. Abordar el problema del plural en el adjetivo supone reconocer implícitamente la diferencia de dos clases de palabras -sustantivo y adjetivo- englobadas bajo el término genérico de nombre. Sin embargo hoy no disponemos todavía, pese a los esfuerzos en tal sentido, de una frontera precisa que marque los límites con absoluta nitidez. No obstante, los intentos por separar sustantivos y adjetivos han sido múltiples, acordes con las diferentes perspectivas de los lingüistas.

The article attempts to explain the synchronic considerations between the plural and the adjective. Tackling the problem of the plural in the adjective implies implicitly recognising the difference between two classes of words - noun and adjective - encompassed under the generic term noun. However, despite efforts in this direction, we do not yet have a precise boundary that marks the limits with absolute clarity. Nevertheless, there have been many attempts to separate nouns and adjectives, according to the different perspectives of linguists.
