Modelos literarios y lecturas en tres novelas femeninas

Abstract

El artículo pasa revista a tres novelas: Little women, de Louise M. Alcott; Daddylong- legs, de Jean Webster, y Maribel y los elefantes de María Luz Morales. Las tres, aunque diferente alcance y difusión, tienen en común el ser consideradas "femeninas": escritas por mujeres, protagonizadas por muchachas y destinadas a lectoras. Se analiza la relación que establecen estos textos con la Literatura desde tres puntos de vista: el primero, su fidelidad a un género o texto preexistente; el segundo, la presencia de obras de la Literatura universal, y en tercer lugar, la relación de sus protagonistas con el hecho de escribir.

Toe article is about three novels: Little women, by Louise M. Alcott; Daddy-long-egs, by Jean Webster, and Maribel y los elefantes, by María Luz Morales. The three books, although their different diffusion and success, have in common to be considered "girl's stories": written by women, played by girls and dedicated to female readers. Toe relationship established in these texts is analyzed from three points of view: the first one, their fidelity to a gender or text; the second one, the presence of works of Universal Literature, and finally, the relationship of their main characters with the fact of writing.
