En recuerdo de Antonio López Eire (1944-2008)

Abstract

A lo largo de estos años han sido muchos los artículos de homenaje que han glosado la figura de Antonio y que han destacado su trayectoria profesional y humana. Remito a ellos, especialmente al sentido homenaje que le rindieron maestro, compañeros y discípulos en la Fundación Pastor de Madrid en el mes de octubre de 2009. Todos los que han tratado su figura han destacado que, a lo largo de estos años, se había convertido en uno de los más importantes especialistas en campos tan dispares como la lingüística griega, la literatura antigua, la retórica y poética clásicas o los estudios de comunicación.

Throughout these years there have been many tribute articles that have glossed over the figure of Antonio and that have highlighted his professional and human career. I refer to them, especially to the heartfelt tribute paid to him by his teacher, colleagues and disciples at the Pastor Foundation in Madrid in October 2009. All those who have dealt with his figure have highlighted that, over the years, he had become one of the most important specialists in fields as diverse as Greek linguistics, ancient literature, classical rhetoric and poetics, or communication studies.
