El patrimonio cultural como recurso turístico para el desarrollo local y regional sostenible. El turismo comunitario en Ecuador

Abstract

El principal objetivo de esta Tesis Doctoral por compendio es realizar las investigaciones necesarias para responder a la pregunta de si el aprovechamiento de los recursos culturales por la actividad turística permite la obtención de los tres principales beneficios a alcanzar a través de esta unión: generación de ingresos económicos derivados de la actividad turística enfocada principalmente al uso de los recursos culturales de la zona en donde se desarrolla la actividad, ingresos y actividades que redundan en la conservación, preservación y salvaguardia de dichos recursos culturales y por último, actividades turísticas que permiten el desarrollo regional a través de la generación de empleo, riqueza, etc. Concretamente, el foco de atención de esta tesis es investigar y dar a conocer cómo se concibe el turismo comunitario en Ecuador a partir del aprovechamiento de recursos. La investigación se desarrolló haciendo uso de dos metodologías diferentes. En las primeras etapas del desarrollo de esta tesis doctoral, se plantearon y se llevaron a cabo cuatro investigaciones en las que se utilizó como herramienta de análisis de los datos la metodología “análisis bibliométrico” empleando las directrices del método PRISMA. El objetivo de las mismas fue obtener una visión general o radiografía de la temática. En etapas más avanzadas del desarrollo de esta tesis doctoral, en las investigaciones realizadas se hace uso de una metodología “analítica descriptiva”, en concreto en 3 artículos. En el primero de ellos se conceptualiza el Turismo Comunitario (TC) en Ecuador, el segundo artículo se centra en el análisis del Turismo Comunitario en la Corporación para el Desarrollo del Turismo Comunitario (CORDTUCH) y en el último se observa como el patrimonio cultural inmaterial de los pueblos y nacionalidades del Ecuador tiene un alto potencial de aprovechamiento en el turismo y particularmente en el TC, tomando como referencia a la Nacionalidad Kichwa Amazónica.

The main objective of this Compendium Doctoral Thesis is to carry out the necessary research to answer the question of whether the use of cultural resources by tourism allows obtaining the three main benefits to be achieved through this union: income generation economic derivatives of the tourist activity focused mainly on the use of the cultural resources of the area where the activity takes place, income and activities that result in the conservation, preservation and safeguarding of said cultural resources and finally, tourist activities that allow the development regional through the generation of employment, wealth, etc. Specifically, the focus of this thesis is to investigate and publicize how community tourism is conceived in Ecuador based on the use of resources. The research was developed using two different methodologies. In the first stages of the development of this doctoral thesis, four investigations were proposed and carried out in which the "bibliometric analysis" methodology was used as a data analysis tool, using the guidelines of the PRISMA method. The objective of the same was to obtain a general vision or x-ray of the subject. In more advanced stages of the development of this doctoral thesis, in the investigations carried out, a "descriptive analytical" methodology is used, specifically in 3 articles. In the first of them, Community Tourism (TC) in Ecuador is conceptualized, the second article focuses on the analysis of Community Tourism in the Corporation for the Development of Community Tourism (CORDTUCH) and in the last one it is observed as the intangible cultural heritage of the peoples and nationalities of Ecuador has a high potential for use in tourism and particularly in the TC, taking as a reference the Amazonian Kichwa Nationality.
