Notas sobre el "De ortu et obitu patrum" seudoisidoriano

Abstract

El trabajo que presentamos a la consideración de los participantes en esta Semana Internacional de Estudios Visigóticos, es el inicio de cumplimiento de un compromiso adquirido, cuando elaboramos la edición crítica de la obra de Isidoro de Sevilla De ortu et obitu Patrum. Por ello, estas líneas quieren tan sólo retomar el propósito y dar cuenta de lo hallado, que —en gran parte — ya fue expuesto por el fallecido P. Robert McNally, investigador infatigable de todo lo relacionado con las obras erróneamente atribuidas al obispo hispalense y a quien desde aquí rendimos justo, aunque mínimo, homenaje.

The work that we present for the consideration of the participants in this International Week of Visigothic Studies is the beginning of the fulfillment of an acquired commitment, when we elaborated the critical edition of the work of Isidoro of Seville De ortu et obitu Patrum. Therefore, these lines only want to resume the purpose and give an account of what we found, which - to a great extent - was already exposed by the late Fr. Robert McNally, indefatigable researcher of everything related to the works erroneously attributed to the bishop of Seville and to whom we pay a fair, although minimal, homage from here.
