Abstract

El humanista alemán Enrique Cornelio Agrippa de Nettesheim (1486-1535) es uno de los talentos más sorprendentes y discutidos del siglo XVI, una de las figuras más importantes del Humanismo alemán y, sin embargo, una de las menos conocidas en nuestro país. En el libro que ocupa estas líneas, "Sobre la nobleza y superioridad del sexo femenino", nuestro autor expone su interpretación, ciertamente controvertida, del texto bíblico de la creación en el Génesis, más en concreto del nacimiento de la primera mujer y de la economía del pecado original.

The German humanist Henry Cornelius Agrippa of Nettesheim (1486-1535) is one of the most surprising and discussed talents of the 16th century, one of the most important figures of German Humanism and, nevertheless, one of the least known in our country. In the book that occupies these lines, On the Nobility and Superiority of the Feminine Sex, our author exposes his interpretation, certainly controversial, of the biblical text of creation in Genesis, more specifically of the birth of the first woman and the economy of original sin.
