Tipos de familia y satisfaccion de necesidades de los hijos

Abstract

La sociedad actual está preocupada por saber si los nuevos tipos de familia recientemente normalizados cumplen adecuadamente con la función de satisfacer las necesidades de los hijos. Grupos de investigación están reuniendo evidencia empírica a favor o en contra de esa preocupación. Una vez conocido el tipo y grado de asociación entre tipo de familia y satisfacción de las necesidades de los hijos, se buscarán variables que se asocien -o relacionen- con la satisfacción de necesidades. Dentro de ese marco, en este póster presentamos los resultados de un trabajo que aporta evidencia empírica sobre el tipo y peso de las relaciones funcionales entre siete tipos de familias y el grado en que satisfacen las necesidades de los hijos. La evidencia es aportada por 79 expertos en mediación familiar (abogados, trabajadores sociales, psicólogos y educadores sociales). Los datos cuantitativos y cualitativos fueron recogidos mediante una encuesta en la que se preguntaba: "En tu opinión de experto, en qué grado (de 0 a 10) puede ayudar a satisfacer las necesidades fundamentales de los HIJOS, cada uno de los siguientes siete tipos de familias (justifica tu puntuación)". Los resultados indican poca o nula relación entre los dos grupos de variables; es razonable hipotetizar que son variables de la dinámica intrafamiliar quienes determinan la satisfacción eficiente de necesidades.

Nowadays, society is concerned about new family structures and if these recently normalized families fulfil correctly the function of covering their children’s needs. Research teams are putting together empiric information for and against this matter. Once recognized both, kind and degree of association between the family structure and the covering of the children’s needs, different variables will be found that relate – or can be related to – the covering of the needs. Inside this framework, we present the results of a research that contributes empiric evidence about kind and weight of functional relationships among seven kinds of family structures, and the degree of fulfilment of the children’s needs. The evidence is given by 79 experts in family affairs (lawyers, social workers, psychologist and social educators). Quantitative and qualitative data were obtained through a survey asking: “In your expert opinion, what scale (from 0 to 10) would you give each of the following seven family structures which can help to fulfil the children’s basic needs (justify your score)”. The results prove the little or virtually nil relationship among the two group variables; it is reasonable to hypothesize that these are variables of the intra-familiar dynamic which determine the efficient fulfilment of the needs.
