À l'écoute du chant initiatique d'Hélène Dubois

Abstract

Este artículo propone un estudio acerca de la obra de Hélène Dubois (1893-1965) para dar a conocer la riqueza temática y estilística de la producción poética y narrativa de una escritora belga francófona que, desafortunadamente, ha suscitado muy reducida atención crítica a pesar de recibir reconocimiento institucional. Después de una breve presentación biobibliográfica de la obra, refiriéndonos también a comentarios críticos inéditos descubiertos en los Archivos y Museo de la Literatura de Bruselas, nos hemos concentrado en el análisis del último relato de la autora, "Scandale pour une sirène". Subrayando sus constantes correspondencias con la obra poética anterior de la escritora y la coherencia de su lenguaje metafórico y simbólico, hemos demostrado el paralelismo de la estructura narrativa del texto con un guión de iniciación gracias al apoyo metodológico de estudios dedicados a la literatura llamada iniciática.

This article proposes a study on the work of Hélène Dubois (1893-1965) in order to reveal the thematic and stylistic richness of the poetic and narrative production of a French-speaking Belgian writer who, unfortunately, has aroused very little critical attention despite receive institutional recognition. After a brief biobibliographical presentation of the work, also referring to unpublished critical comments discovered in the Archives and Museum of Literature in Brussels, we have concentrated on the analysis of the author's last story, "Scandale pour une sirène". Underlining its constant correspondences with the previous poetic work of the writer and the coherence of its metaphorical and symbolic language, we have demonstrated the parallelism of the narrative structure of the text with an initiation script thanks to the methodological support of studies dedicated to the so-called initiation literature.
