Glotopolítica de la lengua occitana en diacronía: tres actos y una incógnita

Abstract

La historia del occitano, de sus usos, sus representaciones y sus estatutos glotopolíticos, no puede reducirse simplemente al relato de un largo proceso de sustitución. Bien es cierto que la normalización no pudo llevarse a cabo, a pesar de una resiliencia incontestable, pero sin embargo la muerte de esta lengua, anunciada desde hace mucho tiempo, sigue sin producirse: daremos una prueba de ello en esta intervención. Los diferentes Actos de esta muerte anunciada se terminan con una incógnita: ¿qué revela el síntoma del retorno de la lealtad de ciertos occitanos en el siglo XXI? Los resultados de una encuesta sociolingüística reciente nos permitirán dar elementos de respuesta a esta interrogación.
