Abstract

La interminable serie de los males que padecía la patria, a causa de la derrota y el desgaste material que transmitía el anterior siglo, había de producir, tarde o temprano, una actitud crítica ante la realidad de España. En efecto, ese espíritu del siglo, el sentimiento de nación, y el examen de la realidad significaron la elaboración de “proyectos” de reformas y actitudes innovadoras de los ilustrados. A tal finalidad se vinculan teóricos, tratadistas, escritores, doctrinarios, pensadores políticos que representan esa manera de vivir acorde con la aplicación y difusión reformadora borbónica en la España de la centuria dieciochesca.
