La fantasía de las narraciones de viajeros y navegantes que regresan del Nuevo Mundo marcará la imaginación artística del siglo XVI, que estará presidida por una fabulación sobre la realidad de una manera determinante, hasta tal punto que se tardarán varios siglos en normalizar lugares, regiones y grupos humanos del imaginario americano impreso en los mapas y libros desde el siglo XVI.

The fantasy of the narratives of travelers and navigators returning from the New World will mark the artistic imagination of the sixteenth century, which will be presided over by a fabulation of reality in a decisive way, to such an extent that it will take several centuries to standardize places, regions and human groups of the American imaginary printed on maps and books since the sixteenth century.
