Síndrome de Burnout en profesores de ESO y Bachillerato de la provincia de Badajoz

Abstract

Con motivo del aumento del grado de insatisfacción y estrés del profesorado, y con el consecuente aumento del número de bajas laborales en la profesión docente, se ha producido un incremento del número de investigaciones acerca del tema. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo conocer las principales dificultades e inconvenientes de la labor docente, las situaciones que les “sobrepasan” y satisfacciones que les aporta. La muestra escogida ha sido de 102 profesores de la provincia de Badajoz que imparten clase en ESO y Bachillerato. El instrumento utilizado ha sido la entrevista estructurada, cuyas preguntas han sido diseñadas con el fin de obtener información acerca de los objetivos marcados. Los resultados muestran que son muchas las dificultades, inconvenientes y situaciones que “sobrepasan” a los profesores en su labor; pero también las satisfacciones. Las dificultades más frecuentes señaladas por los profesores son la desmotivación, indisciplina, falta de trabajo de los alumnos y los grupos heterogéneos en cuanto a nivel entre otras. Las situaciones que más les sobrepasan son la indisciplina y la falta de interés. Las satisfacciones que señalan son la relación personal con los alumnos, ver como progresan y obtienen resultados. Los inconvenientes para ellos son la poca valoración de la labor docente, la falta de colaboración de los padres y la desmotivación de los alumnos.

Due to the increase in the degree of dissatisfaction and stress among teachers, and with the consequent increase in the number of sick leave in the teaching profession, there has been an increase in the number of investigations on the subject. The objective of this study is to know the main difficulties and inconveniences of teaching, the situations that "exceed" them and the satisfaction that it brings them. The chosen sample was made up of 102 teachers from the province of Badajoz who teach classes in ESO and Baccalaureate. The instrument used has been the structured interview, whose questions have been designed in order to obtain information about the objectives set. The results show that there are many difficulties, inconveniences and situations that "exceed" teachers in their work; but also the satisfactions. The most frequent difficulties pointed out by teachers are lack of motivation, indiscipline, lack of student work and heterogeneous groups in terms of level, among others. The situations that surpass them the most are indiscipline and lack of interest. The satisfactions that they indicate are the personal relationship with the students, seeing how they progress and obtain results. The drawbacks for them are the low appreciation of the teaching work, the lack of collaboration of the parents and the demotivation of the students.
