| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | Psychology is increasingly interested in the study of interpersonal relationships, both from a quantitative (number and type of relationships...) and qualitative (quality and interest) point of view. Studying the quality of interpersonal relationships involves analysing variables related to the factors involved when a person interacts with those with whom he or she maintains important affective relationships, such as friends and family members. Among these variables there is one of great interest in the research of interpersonal relationships, which is attachment. Attachment responds to the strongest and most stable affective need throughout the life cycle (López and Ortiz, 2000, pp.42). In this paper we aim to describe attachment style, interpersonal style and the quality of interpersonal relationships in young adults and to analyse the relationships between these variables. To do so, we will use three questionnaires that assess: attachment styles (Attachment Styles Scale, Bartholomew & Horowitz, 1991), interpersonal behavioural style (Interpersonal Adjective Scale, IAS, Wiggins, 1996) and quality of interpersonal relationships (QRI, Quality of Relationships Inventory by Pierce, Saranson & Saranson, 1991). The latter questionnaire assesses the support that can be received from interpersonal relationships, the role of conflict in relationships and the depth of established relationships. We believe that there are differences in the quality of interpersonal relationships depending on the participants' attachment styles as well as interpersonal behavioural style. | es_ES |
