La importancia de la educación sexual en la aparición de la menarquia y primera eyaculación

Abstract

La importancia de la información en lo relativo a la sexualidad es un hecho aceptado por todos los investigadores de la psicología y de otras ciencias. Cómo debe ser y cuándo, son preguntas a las que la institución educativa y familiar ha pretendido dar respuesta. Nosotros hemos querido saber si esa información y estructuración es adecuada o es necesario introducir alguna modificación. Al mismo tiempo hemos querido conocer la evolución de la información a lo largo de los años y cómo es vivida la aparición de la menarquia y de la primera eyaculación por parte de los adolescentes. Para ello hemos seleccionado una muestra de 243 sujetos a los que se realizó una entrevista semiestructurada, siendo los datos analizados a través del paquete estadístico SPSS. Los resultados obtenidos ponen de manifiesto la importancia de la educación sexual en este ámbito, que influye en gran medida sobre los demás factores encuestados. Comparando los adolescentes actuales con los de otras épocas se observa como la falta de información de los segundos influía negativamente, sobre todo en las mujeres, en la forma de afrontar la menarquia o la primera eyaculación, manifestando sentimientos de temor, sorpresa, o angustia debido al desconocimiento de lo que estaba ocurriendo. También es importante destacar la desaparición de la mayoría de los mitos relacionados con la cultura y el entorno con respecto a este tema. Mitos como el de no poder lavarse la cabeza, no tocar las plantas etc. - en el caso de las mujeres la aparición de granos, e impotencia, etc. -en los hombres- han desaparecido. Esto es debido, en gran medida, a la información proporcionada desde el ámbito escolar. No obstante es necesario reseñar la anticipación de la variable edad y la necesidad de tenerla en cuenta en el curso escolar o año de información.

The importance of the information with respect to the sexuality is a fact accepted by all the investigators of psychology and other sciences. How it must be and when, they are questions to which the educative and familiar institution has tried to give answer. We have wanted to know if that information and structuring are adapted or are necessary to introduce some modification. At the same time we have wanted to know the evolution the information throughout the years and how the appearance is lived on menarquia and of the first eyaculación on the part of the adolescents. For it we have selected a sample of 243 subjects to which a semistructured interview was made, being the data analyzed through statistical package SPSS. The obtained results show the importance of the sexual education in this scope, that influences the other factors to a great extent. Comparing the present adolescents with those of other times it is observed as the lack of information of the seconds influenced negatively, mainly in the women, the form to confront to menstruate or the first to eject, declaring feelings of fear, surprise, or distresses due to ignorance of which it was happening. Also it is important to emphasize the disappearance of most of myths related to the culture and the surroundings with respect to this subject. Myths like the one of not being able to wash the head, not to touch the plants etc. - in the case of the women or the grain appearance, and impotence, etc. - in the men they have disappeared. This must, to a great extent, to the information provided from the scholastic scope. Despite it is necessary to review the anticipation of the variable age and the necessity to be it in account in the school year or month of information.
