Relaciones entre el temperamento infantil y el lenguaje en una tarea interactivonarrativa

Abstract

El trabajo que se presenta investiga las relaciones entre lenguaje infantil y temperamento, en el sentido de comprobar qué efecto tiene el temperamento infantil (evaluado mediante la prueba BQChildren's ehavior Questionnaire) en la fluencia verbal al narrar un cuento conocido (Blancanieves) a un adulto de apego (madre biológica). La muestra estaba compuesta de 35 sujetos (20 varones y 15 niñas) de entre 4 a 6 años (media de 5,4 años) y sus madres. El cuestionario CBQ fue contestado por las madres y, aproximadamente, una semana después los niños y niñas contaron el cuento de Blancanieves a sus madres. Las narraciones se evaluaron mediante las siguientes variables lingüísticas: turnos conversacionales, MLE infantil, número de palabras emitidas por el niño/a y peso narrativo materno. Los datos demuestran que algunas variables lingüísticas no se relacionan con ninguna escala temperamental (MLE y peso materno en la narración). El número de palabras infantiles y los turnos correlacionan negativamente con las escalas de impulsividad, nivel de actividad y placer intenso; y correlacionan positivamente con el control emocional. La discusión especula sobre las relaciones entre ambos comportamientos y la posibilidad de interpretar más contextualmente sus vinculaciones.

The paper presented here is a research about the relationship between children language and temperament, in the sense of check which effect has children’s temperament (tested with CBQChildren's Behavior Questionnaire) on the verbal fluency that a child has when is telling his attachment adult (biological mother) a known story (Snow White). The sample was composed of 35 children (20 boys and 15 girls) from 4 to 6 years-old. The CBQ questionnaire was answered by their mothers and one week before, approximately, those boys and girls told their mothers Snow White story Narrations were assessed by the following linguistic variables: conversational turns, child’s M.L.U., number of words that children said and maternal narrative weight. The results suggest that some linguistic variables are not related to any temperamental scale (M.L.U. and maternal narrative weight). The number of children’s words and the conversational turns have a negative correlation with impulsivity scale, activity level and intense pleasure; whereas they have a positive correlation with the control emotional. The discussion speculates about the relationships between both behaviours and the possibility of interpreting their links in a more contextually way.
