Abstract: | The work shows that the cellular surface hydrophobicity (CSH) determination as an additional criterion to differentiate Candida albicans from Candida dubliniensis. Our results show that C. albicans when grown at 37 °C in Sabouraud is always hydrophilic, and C. dubliniensis presents high CSH levels. El trabajo muestra que la determinación de la hidrofobicidad de la superficie celular (CSH) como criterio adicional para diferenciar Candida albicans de Candida dubliniensis. Nuestros resultados muestran que C. albicans cuando crece a 37 °C en Sabouraud es siempre hidrofílica, y C. dubliniensis presenta altos niveles de CSH. |
