| Abstract: | El objetivo de este trabajo es reseñar dos importantes monografías sobre la democracia ateniense que brindan la oportunidad de reflexionar sobre la crisis de la democracia a finales del siglo V a.C. y el carácter de las posteriores reformas institucionales que permitieron la recuperación y pervivencia de una debatida ‘democracia moderada’, a lo largo del siglo IV a.C. The aim of this paper is to evaluate two important monographs on the Athenian democracy that provide an opportunity to reflect on the democracy’s crisis at the end of the 5th. Century B.C. and the nature and scope of the subsequent institutional reforms that allowed the recovery and survival of a debated ‘moderate democracy’ throughout the 4th. Century B.C. |
