Benito Arias Montano y su relación con los documentos plúmbeos de Granada

Abstract

Este año se cumple el cuarto centenario de la muerte de uno de los mayores humanistas: Benito Arias Montano. Este trabajo pretende ser un homenaje a tan eximia figura. Sus intervenciones fueron clave en uno de los procesos más discutidos en la Historia de España del siglo XV y que han sido recogidas en el "Plumbeous documents from Granada". Son numerosos los estudios existentes sobre este tema. Se presenta un estudio crítico del hecho sobre la base de los estudios publicados más interesantes y otros documentos inéditos.

This year we are getting the quater-centenary after the death of one the greater humanist: Benito Arias Montano. This work intends to be an homage to his elevated image. His interventions in one of the most discussed process in the History of the XVIth century in Spain have been collected in "Plumbeous doruments from Granada". In spite of the great deal of existing studies on this subject we would like to compile these one; we have considered most interesting together with sorne unpublished documents.
