Gestión para la auto-asignación de centros de Practicas Externas Curriculares (MGID)

Abstract

Este trabajo pretende, utilizar las posibilidades que ofrece Moodle, como alternativa para agilizar la asignación de centros en la asignatura “Prácticas externas” (2º semestre) del Máster Universitario en Gestión de la Información Digital (MGID). La prioridad de elección se establecerá según el expediente académico del alumnado. De manera previa a abordar los aspectos metodológicos de la experiencia, destacaremos la importancia de la asignatura que nos ocupa y su contextualización en el marco del MGID. Los cambios organizativos de las enseñanzas universitarias, impulsados por el Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior, incrementarán la empleabilidad de los titulados (Real Decreto 1393/2007). Así, aquellos títulos universitarios que habilitan para el ejercicio de actividades profesionales y que, cuentan con prácticas externas, deben establecerse unas condiciones en los planes de estudios para garantizar la adquisición de competencias para dicho ejercicio profesional. Las bondades de las prácticas externas y el valor añadido que suponen para estudiantes e instituciones han sido abordados en diversos estudios (Ball, 2008; Chaín Navarro, 1996, 2002; Kelsey, 2005; Stanton, 2010). La asignatura “Prácticas Externas” (6 créditos ECTS) del “módulo profesional” del MGID de la UEx, tiene carácter obligatorio y está regulada por el Real Decreto 1707/2011, la Memoria Verifica del MGID y el Reglamento de Prácticas Externas del Centro. Las prácticas se realizarán en instituciones propias de la universidad o en organizaciones externas (públicas y/o privadas) con las que la UEx haya establecido un “acuerdo de colaboración”. Dichos convenios están coordinados desde la Dirección de Relaciones con Empresas y Empleo del Vicerrectorado de Estudiantes y Empleo. El procedimiento desde la selección de entidades hasta la finalización de las prácticas es el siguiente: 1.Propuesta de entidades colaboradoras por los responsables académicos de las Facultades. 2.Gestión y firma del convenio de prácticas. 3.Selección y adjudicación de prácticas curriculares entre el alumnado (fase a la que afecta nuestra propuesta). 4.Seguimiento del Proyecto Formativo por parte de un tutor académico designado por la Facultad y un tutor del centro de prácticas.

This work aims to use the possibilities offered by Moodle as an alternative to speed up the assignment of centers in the subject “External Internships” (2nd semester) of the Master's Degree in Digital Information Management (MGID). The priority of election will be established according to the academic record of the students. Before addressing the methodological aspects of the experience, we will highlight the importance of the subject at hand and its contextualization within the framework of the MGID. The organizational changes in university education, promoted by the European Higher Education Area, will increase the employability of graduates (Royal Decree 1393/2007). Thus, those university degrees that enable the exercise of professional activities and that have external internships, conditions must be established in the study plans to guarantee the acquisition of skills for said professional exercise. The benefits of external internships and the added value they represent for students and institutions have been addressed in various studies (Ball, 2008; Chaín Navarro, 1996, 2002; Kelsey, 2005; Stanton, 2010). The subject “External Internships” (6 ECTS credits) of the “professional module” of the MGID of the UEx, is mandatory and is regulated by Royal Decree 1707/2011, the Verified Report of the MGID and the Center's External Internship Regulations. The internships will be carried out in the university's own institutions or in external organizations (public and/or private) with which the UEx has established a “collaboration agreement”. These agreements are coordinated by the Directorate of Relations with Companies and Employment of the Vice-Rector's Office for Students and Employment. The procedure from the selection of entities to the completion of the internship is as follows: 1. Proposal of collaborating entities by the academic heads of the Faculties. 2.Management and signing of the internship agreement. 3.Selection and allocation of curricular practices among students (phase affected by our proposal). 4.Monitoring of the Training Project by an academic tutor designated by the Faculty and a tutor from the internship center.
