La platería del monasterio de San Miguel y Santa Isabel de Trujillo

Abstract

La colección de platería que conserva en la actualidad el convento de San Miguel, en Trujillo, no es muy amplia en cuanto a número de piezas, pero de gran interés por la calidad de las obras y, sobre todo, por los autores responsables de las mismas, de entre los que es necesario resaltar la presencia del platero cordobés Damián de Castro en su faceta de fiel contraste de plata y oro. Junto a esto, cabe señalar que algunas de las piezas que hoy día componen el ajuar litúrgico del convento de San Miguel proceden del convento de dominicas que hubo en Orellana la Vieja.
