La enseñanza del baloncesto dentro del contexto educativo

Abstract

El deporte es uno de los contenidos curriculares que los profesores de Educación Física pueden desarrollar para la consecución de los objetivos educativos en los distintos niveles de enseñanza no universitaria. La selección de los deportes, contenidos más adecuados para la consecución de los objetivos generales y específicos de la disciplina que se desarrollan a lo largo del curso académico, corresponde a los profesores Centrándose en la enseñanza del baloncesto se analiza a lo largo de este artículo los valores educativos que deben tener en cuenta los profesores para su elección: enumerando las características de este deporte que se enlazan con los valores educativos, haciendo referencia a la enseñanza tradicional del baloncesto y detallando pormenorizadamente los elementos de un nuevo modelo de enseñanza de dicho deporte.

Sport is one of the curricular contents that Physical Education teachers can develop in order to achieve educational objectives at the different levels of non-university education. The selection of sports, the most appropriate content for the achievement of the general and specific objectives of the discipline that are developed throughout the academic year, is the responsibility of the teachers. Focusing on the teaching of basketball, the educational values that teachers must take into account for their choice are analyzed throughout this article: listing the characteristics of this sport that are linked to educational values, referring to the traditional teaching of basketball and detailing in detail the elements of a new model of teaching this sport.
