La "Summa super Priscianum minorem" de Petrus Helias (ca. 1140) : tradición e innovación

Abstract

Aunque, en general, su importancia no se enfatiza lo suficiente, el tratado Summa super Priscianum minorem de Petrus Helias (ca. 1140) es uno de los de mayor difusión y trascendencia en el siglo XII. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la teoría sintáctica del tratado en sus presupuestos más destacados e innovadores. De este modo, el estudio expone las principales contribuciones y aportes sintácticos de la Summa super Priscianum minorem, señala sus fuentes y dependencias básicas, y rastrea el alcance de su influencia en el desarrollo gramatical posterior de la Baja Edad Media. El análisis realizado evidencia la decisiva influencia que la Summa super Priscianum minorem de Petrus Helias ejerce en el desarrollo y organización de la sintaxis desde la segunda mitad del XII y que llega incluso a los siglos XIII y XIV.

Although its relevance has not been sufficiently emphasized, the Summa super Priscianum minorem by Petrus Helias (ca. 1140 AD) is one of the most widely disseminated and relevant works of the 12th century. This study analyzes the syntactical theory of the work based on its most innovative and significant assumptions. It describes the main syntactical contributions of the Summa super Priscianum minorem, detailing its basic sources and origins and tracking the scope of its influence on the subsequent grammatical development of the Late Middle Ages. The analysis reveals the decisive influence of Helias’ Summa super Priscianum minorem on the development and organization of syntax as of the second half of the 12th century and across the 13th and 14th centuries.
