La huella de Inurria: Pedro de Torre-Isunza

Abstract

Estudio del escultor Pedro Torre-Isunza, natural de Don Benito (Badajoz) y asentado en Madrid la mayor parte de su trayectoria artística. Se aborda el estudio de su biografía, siempre en función de la evolución de su producción escultórica. Se analiza la trayectoria artística del escultor, estudiando los distintos eventos expositivos en los que participó, los galardones que alcanzó y las consecuencias que éstos tuvieron para su trayectoria. Entre sus participaciones, destaca su asidua presencia en las Exposiciones Nacionales de Bellas Artes, Bienal de Venecia, y un largo etcétera. Y se estudia el estilo escultórico de Torre-Isunza desde el magisterio ejercido por Mateo Inurria.

Studio of the sculptor Pedro Torre-Isunza, a native of Don Benito (Badajoz) and settled in Madrid for most of his artistic career. The study of his biography is addressed, always based on the evolution of his sculptural production. The artistic career of the sculptor is analyzed, studying the different exhibition events in which he participated, the awards he won and the consequences that these had for his career. Among his participations, his regular presence in the National Exhibitions of Fine Arts, the Venice Biennale, and a long etcetera stands out. And the sculptural style of Torre-Isunza is studied from the teaching exercised by Mateo Inurria.
