"El plutarco Extremeño", un ejemplo de literatura infantil academicista

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación pretende acercar al lector contemporáneo el "Plutarco extremeño" de Nicolás Díaz Pérez, editado en 1891 en Badajoz. Paradigma de la literatura escolar y libros para niños de la Extremadura decimonónica. Su recuperación y difusión puede ser una herramienta de gran utilidad histórica que ayude a reconocer el patrimonio literario regional tan exigido en la legislación educativa actual. Sin embargo, también se antoja necesario realizar un estudio sobre sus personajes, oficios más recurrentes y causas que lo fomentan, con todo ello se pretende obtener parte de los datos que nos ayuden a conocer el valor didáctico y pedagógico de la obra en su contexto histórico. De este modo comprenderemos los valores con los que se ha educado a toda una sociedad a la par que han ayudado a definir el presente en el que ahora nos movemos.

This research work aims to bring the contemporary reader closer the "Plutarco extremeño" of Nicolás Díaz Pérez, published in 1891 in Badajoz. Paradigm of scholarly literature and children’s books for the nineteenth-century Extremadura. Its retrieval and dissemination can be a tool of great historical utility that helps to recognize the regional literary heritage as much required by the current educational legislation. However, it also seems necessary to conduct a study on their characters, their most frequent trades and the causes by which it is promoted. All the aforementioned is seeking to provide us to with some data so as to meet the educational and pedagogical value of the work within its historical context. Therefore, we will understand the values under which a whole society has been educated, and also have helped to define the present in which we are currently moving.
