Los términos "suppositum" y "appositum": relación entre lógica y gramática

Abstract

En este artículo se pretende analizar la utilización de los términos "suppositum" y "appositive" en la Antigüedad y su evolución en la gramática del Renacimiento. Nuestro estudio está basado en la gramática griega y latina de la Antigüedad, en la gramática medieval y, por último, en los autores renacentistas, tratando de describir la lógica, o connotaciones gramaticales, de estos términos en cada periodo.

This article attempts to analyse the utilization of the terms “suppositum” and “appositum” in the Antiquity, and their evolution to the Renaissance grammar. Our study in based on Greek and Latin grammar in the Antiquity, on mediaeval grammar and, finally, of the Reinassance authors, trying to describe the logic or grammatical connotations of this terms in each period.
