Weltliteratur y humanidades espaciales: hacia una literatura sobre el mapa

Abstract

En las páginas que siguen, trataremos de exponer nuestro punto de vista sobre la mundialidad de la literatura (más allá del concepto de literatura mundial), si bien quizá sería más conveniente hablar de mundanidad, por motivos que esperamos que queden algo más claros a partir de nuestras propias consideraciones. Por otro lado, hemos de precisar que esta propuesta, inscrita en el marco de las llamadas humanidades espaciales, no quiere sustituir a ninguna otra o mostrarse como el único camino sino convivir en un campo que por definición es inabarcable y que ningún método, perspectiva o enfoque está llamado a agotar, por mucho que se acomode en el imponente y omnicomprensivo refugio de lo mundial.

In the following pages, we will try to present our point of view on the globality of literature (beyond the concept of world literature), although it might be more appropriate to speak of worldliness, for reasons that we hope will become clearer through our own considerations. On the other hand, we must clarify that this proposal, inscribed within the framework of the so-called spatial humanities, does not seek to replace any other or present itself as the only path but to coexist in a field that is by definition ungraspable and that no method, perspective, or approach is meant to exhaust, no matter how much it fits into the imposing and all-encompassing refuge of the global.
