Luís García de Valdeavellano. Marco y notas para una biografía intelectual

Abstract

El tratamiento historiográfico sobre la obra de Luis García de Valdeavellano ha sido desproporcionadamente inferior al mérito que esta encierra. En este artículo se pretende hacer una sumaria valoración historiográfica de su obra. Formado en la etapa de plenitud de la investigación-jurídica española o “hinojismo”, conservó sus métodos y técnicas de investigación durante la posguerra civil con elegante discrepancia a la corriente entonces vigente o “gallismo”. Para ello se divide su obra en dos etapas, desde 1929-1936, época de plenitud en la investigación histórico-jurídica y los “años de sigilo” de 1936-1958.

The historiographical treatment of Luis Garcia Valdeavellano's work has been lower than the merit that his work contains. This article aims to make a historiographical summary of his work. Formed at the stage of the fullness of the Spanish legal research or "hinojismo" kept their methods and research techniques during the civil war with elegant discrepancy to the then prevailing current or "gallismo". To do this, his work is divided into two stages, from 1929-1936, a period of fullness in the historical and legal research and the "stealth years" from 1936-1958.
