One of the big challenges of this century is the correct and efficient management of water resources in agriculture worldwide. In our country the agrarian sector has a consumption of 75% of the water from our reservoirs and aquifers, given the slow but growing and ongoing desertification we face, needs a water optimization and adaptation to meet present and future needs. Developed countries, like ours, have invested in recent years in infrastructure and technology to implement a costly Agricultural Meteorological Station Network which produce certain parameters that help agricultural planning. Only Extremadura irrigation infrastructure has some 244,000 ha, of which 210,000 has grown with corresponding consumption of water resources, but with an invaluable contribution to the annual agricultural income in the region (González et al. 2007). Therefore the regional government of Extremadura has worked in investment in infrastructure and technology, and the training of professionals in agriculture through the implementation of an Agricultural Meteorological Station Network to help the irrigator to meet the water needs of their crops. In this line of investment in technology and development, is to generate a purely analytical computer model to obtain certain agrometeorological parameters for any area of the earth's surface, especially for countries in developing and underdeveloped, the which do not have the financial resources to implement the infrastructure, thereby allowing optimization of water consumption, as well as better management and efficiency of agricultural crops and their impact on rural planning in these areas. Among them, we have chosen to create a computer model that calculates solar radiation globally on the ground, and the data obtained are tested and consistent with those obtained by the network of solar radiation sensors (pyranometers) distributed by the Extremadura region, to facilitate adjustment to irrigators irrigate their crops to the needs and the particular conditions of climate and soil.
